I had found a Beautiful campspot down the boulevard along the Rio Gualdalquivir.
And every morning and every afternoon the shepperd came by, accompanied by his 100 goates.
My beautiful campspot.
And the beautiful dragonflies that visited me by the hundreds. They were flying all around me, all days long. Super !
There actually is nothing going on here in Alcolea del Rio. In the mornings I walked over there to have a good coffee and a tostada (toasted sandwich) and so I first visited the cafe9s) with a nice (shady) terrass. However there are some 10 cafes in town but none was suitable to do computerworks, except for one.
So lateron I walked over to that one, for a first beer and something small to eat. There I was welcome to do computerwork at a table in the (empty) restaurant where there was a walloutlet available. Plus a big fan that I could turn on as I wanted, and I did (at low speed).
Then, at about 14h30 I left, bought some stuff at some supermercado (water !) and returned. As usual Everything in town is closed from about 15h00 until about 19h30. At about 20h00 I returned to buy some more water, and a last coffee and a Cool Beer. Temperatures were at least some 42C in the afternoons ... Which is No Problem for me, except for (the weight of) the aqua.
The trips towards the cool beers took some 20 minutes but unfortunately the returntrips without the cool beers but with ie 3 or 4 bottles of 1.5kgs of water also took some 20 minutes. In this town is no fuente (watersource) available, except for at the cemetery which is too far away out of towncentre.
Halfway on my return there was a "last" cafe were I took a very last beer if there was a table available. It is located at the townsquare opposite of the ayuntamiento (townhall) and so this location is looking extra nice.
During daytime this cafe is closed since it simply is to hot there.
But after 20h00 "things" are starting to come alive, including the fountains. I liked it here a lot, but it was actually just a (!) tick to quiet.
However, I did stay a full week ... Why hurry ?!
